Kafka on the Shore took me months, Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman took me months, and even Sputnik Sweetheart took me longer than this. Only Hear the Wind Sing did I read this quickly, and it's tiny and ... #30: Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman. I only had a few stories left to complete the volume. I've been hoarding Murakami lately, and there's quite a few more unread books in my "Haruki Pile," but I'm going to finish all these half-read other novels before starting in on them.

Gave up: Until I Find You by John Irving (I know, I tried! But I just didn't get all that into it, plus I received Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami who like some other posters I absolutely love, but can't quite say why. I've just managed to get a signed limited edition of Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami very cheaply from a Waterstones in Birmingham of all places. moondust, I finished Murakami's Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman about 2 weeks ago and really liked it too. Even allowing for a certain sameness to a few of the stories, it was mostly terrific and I think truly representative(in a good way) of his whole career. ... is awesome and any short story collection by Haruki Murakami (they're all wonderful but I do especially like the new one Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman.)
