This book was pretty good. It's about a Minister who finds himself lost in a situation due to greed and the value of money and items. When he tries to do the right thing he finds that all the wrong people are trying to take him down. A Christian book with a little bit of suspense to it. ( )

Way too many plots/charcters going on. I found myself skipping around to stay with the main storyline. Besides that, the book was pretty good. ( )

Assistant Pastor Anthony Murdock of 2nd Baptist church loves being a pastor. But he has a burning secret that he feels will force him to resign. No, it's not that he is having an affair, though that is the conclusion that his wife rapidly jumps too. Not that she is sorry to see him leave the church--she never understood why he left his lucrative business job in the first place. No, Anthony's problems stem back to his misplaced love of money and the actions it lead him too--actions that are now unfolding into a chain of events that may land him in jail for a crime he didn't commit.
This was a fun read, but nothing too memorable or mind stretching. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0446697052, Paperback)

Anthony Murdock has a lot on his mind. He is a minister in training at Second Baptist Church of Shepherd Hills and a rising account executive at Shaw Enterprises. As a Christian man, Anthony finds himself caught up in deceit when he makes a decision - despite the gnawing feeling inside that warns him against it - to compromise his morals for a lot of fast cash. His wife, Terri, a snotty successful interior designer, is becoming increasingly nervous that she might one day have to live the life of a cash strapped preacher's wife. Regretful of his get rich quick scheme and on the verge of being exposed, Anthony decides to make things right only to find himself compromising again.

Disgusted with himself, he knows he must do more than confess his sin of greed; he must conquer it. Anthony, like Samson in the Bible, risks going down with his enemies to do the right thing, preserve his marriage and regain his reputation.
