A nice sturdy board book with good illustrations. The Mess Monsters love a messy room, but they break toys and ruin things so that the child who lives in the room decides to tidy up to keep them away. My two-year-old likes this one, but is a little confused by the fact that neither the child or the mother are ever pictured. I just tell him the mommy is downstairs making dinner. Also, the monsters (which are pictured as very friendly - not scary) are still peering out from under the bed even after the child cleans the room. I thought this might worry my son, but it doesn't.
