#45 - I was very unimpressed by Unseen Academicals...
#46 - Gifts is a good start, and the rest is just as good or better. But the third one (Powers) was... disturbing. Lots of violence and abuse. adding to the thread again (sorry)
more Joanne Harris, this time Coastliners; an Ursula K. Le Guin Gifts (first in a YA trilogy); The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny (omnibus of the first 5 Amber novels which I haven't read since the 1970's) and The Floating Book : A novel of Venice ... ... a new home.

The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga I completed reading Gifts: Annals of the Western Shore and none of my friends from home have read it, at all. My question is this, for those who read it: do you think Orrec really didn't use his gift of unmaking/undoing on the adder, the dog, or the Ants in the Ashbrook?
