This collection of Crace's reviews from The Guardian are snarkily funny even if you haven't read the book. If nothing else, Google his name and check out his work on the Guardian website. ( )

Dozens of high profile books in short. Addictively enjoyable. In 3 & a half pages it sends up Dan Brown's writing style AND gives away the ending of The Da Vinci Code. Most of the other books are by more talented writers. If the send-up is of a book you've read before, it's amusing seeing it's style brutally copied. And for the books you haven't read it might help you decide whether they're worth your time in the first place. ( )
