I am in some difficulty here as to commenting on this slim and unusual volume. At only sixty-four pages in all the story itself is a mere 12 pages in length including a poorly drawn illustration. The rest is mostly padding by a couple of so-called Doyle experts. As to the story itself,it concerns a woman lost deep in the welsh mountains, who is captured by a mad druid who intends to sacrifice her on the aforesaid Blood-Stone.On one hand anything by Doyle is worth reading and a newly discovered story even more so. On the other hand this is not a well-written item by any means.
To a Conan Doyle enthusiast like myself, this is a marvellous addition to my collection. To anyone who is not,it should be left well alone. ( )
