Alicia wants to have a best friend party. Her only problem is she has five friends and can't decide which is her favorite. The ending of the book was my favorite part. Alicia realized that you can have many best friends instead of just one. ( )

Alicia has four best friends and a dog, but when she invites them to a best friend party she is questioned who her best friend is. Alicia tells her friends they are all her best friends for different reason and even includes her dog as a best friend. This would be a great book to teach your children that it is okay to have more than one best friend, and also it's okay to have a pet as a best friend. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0618239510, Hardcover)

Alicia has four friends, and her friends are great, but when she decides to throw a best friends party, they all want to know which one of them is her best friend. Is it Mitchell, Charlotte, Henry, Lucy, or Alicia’s dog, Neptune? They say she has to choose, but Alicia doesn’t know whom to pick. How can she, when each one of them is uniquely special to her? With characteristic emotional honesty and a little creativity, Alicia finds her own wonderful way of solving the happy dilemma of being blessed with not one, but many, best friends.
