Air commandos

You may know about the Navy Seals, Army Rangers and etc. But you may not know about the Air Force Air Commandos. These specially trained airmen. These airmen are specially trained soldiers trained to do some of the most dangerous and important mission for the United States of America. These specially trained airmen have been mostly in combat in the last couple of years, especially since the War on Terrorism. They are trained to travel in aircraft and also working with other special forces from around the world. They work just like regular infantry and airmen but do more dangerous mission. From all their training they help protect the United States of America.

I enjoyed this book because I learned about more special forces beside the Navy Seals and Army Rangers. Before I read this book I did not know that the United States Air force had a special forces. I would recommend this book for people that are interested about the military. I would rate this book an 8 out of ten because it talks about the modern new military units of the United States of America. I would take away 2 points because it does not talk about how old you have to join this Special Forces group.

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0312958811, Mass Market Paperback)

Fly anything. Go anywhere. Make the enemy pay.

They fly whatever the brass gives them. They land wherever the brass wants them. They have no fear. Slow and low into the teeth of enemy fire, quick and quiet into enemy-held territory, whatever it takes to get the job done, the USAF Air Commandos are the bravest flying men in the world.

From the glider pilots who landed deep behind Japanese lines, to the gunship crews who hunted over the dark jungle of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, to Desert Storm's Special Operations choppers...all the daring rescues and last-minute landings are here, straight from the Air Commandos' own stories.

Documented with 8 pages of photographs!
