This book was lots of fun. The concept was to show words that have double letters in them. This worked for most of the letters, but a few pages had to stretch a bit, and used phrases rather than single words. I think this would be a fun alphabet book for older readers, kids who had a firm grasp of the alphabet and were ready to start spelling. It could be a bit cofusing for children just learning their letters, Rubber Band is for B! Huh? Great illustrations.

Book description
AA book full of silliness. Do you like double-talk? The word Aardvark has double letters. Letters has double letters, too. So does too. In fact, you'll find double letters everywhere in AA is for Aardvark - the world's first AABBCC book. Like a letter? Twice is better! Can you see all the perfect pairs hiding in the groovy pictures? We guarantee that almost all the words in this book were made up. And the made-up words are still pretty good. Look carefully!! (1-4037-2871-9)
Haiku summary

Associates double letters of the alphabet with words and an animal which acts silly, for example, cc is for a raccoon who is robbing a bank and uu is for a vacuum cleaner which is used by a horse who is vacuuming a carpet.
