Things are looking up for amateur British actor Charles Paris. He and his estranged wife have begun a rapprochement that is going quite well. He also has landed the very desirable role of Sir Toby Belch in a traditional production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. One night, though, the director gets deathly ill and an avant-garde Romanian egomaniac steps in to take over the production. He and Charles do not agree on anything--and when another cast member also takes ill, Charles begins to suspect that fatal foul play is not far behind. |
