You Can't Hide
4.5 Stars

An intense psychological thriller with an engaging romance.

The mystery is fast paced and engrossing albeit quite disturbing in some respects. Rose has a knack for writing diabolical villains and this is no exception. Nevertheless, it is quite easy to figure out the identity of the culprit if you pay attention to the clues and realize that this type of sadistic sociopathy and hatred can only have an emotional and deeply personal source. For me, the fact that Amy takes an hour to change clothes before coming to Tess's aid at the police station cinched the deal - what kind of best friend does that?

The dynamic between Tess and Aidan is the highlight of the book. Their slow progression from deep seated animosity to understanding and then to love and trust is captivating. Rose's characterization is excellent and she is skilled at evoking the reader's emotions, good or bad, for each and every character.

In sum, You Can't Hide is a chilling addition to an excellent series and I am eager to read the next installment. ( )

Dr. Tess Ciccotelli is a successful young psychiatrist who treats a number of suicidal patients. One night changes her life and brings on a seemingly never-ending nightmare. Her patients start dying one by one, committing suicide. Someone manipulates their mind and haunts them to make them take their lives. This book follows the author's proven formula of suspense and intrigue. You never know until you are meant to how it all ends up. ( )

A good romantic suspense thriller with plenty of chilling fast paced action. I liked how the relationship between hero and heroine developed as they owned their mistakes and their characters grew. Someone is framing psychiatrist Tess with evidence that she pushed her client to suicide and investigator Aiden is assigned to the case.

Probably the best I've read of the Karen Rose books so far. I'm trying to read them in order; but the gods of library holds are not with me. ( )

A great psychological thriller! Hard to put down. A psychiatrist's patients start to systematically kill themselves, she is the suspect. Gruesome at times, but fast moving. Loved it. Will read more of her books. ( )
