A nicely annotated and illustrated guide to a collecting hobby I would love to get into, but for being pecuniarily challenged: antique scientific instruments. The text is informative and interesting, and the color plates activate my drool gene. Alas, 'tis not to be, so I'll just have to look through this book occasionally and fantasize. ( )
