Celestine is a cute duck. She loves to play dress up and is very high maintained. Celestine had to do a school play but was very nervous and at the end she was confident. ( )

Celestine is a dramatic little duck who has believed she has been a star her whole life. When Celestine gets a "leading" role in the play she is estatic! She goes home and works on her lines till the day of the play. She refuses help from others because she believes she already has her lines memerized. At the play she goes to recite the only lines she has, "The End" and forgets them and breaks out in dance. This cute little story teaches children that as long as you try your best everything will turn out fine. ( )

Summary: In this book it is about the little duck named Celestine that knows she is a star! Even when she was born she came out of her egg dancing just like a star. She always act as if she needs to be treated like a movie star. Telling her mother she needs to only wear pink clothes, eat pink foods, and ride to school instead of walk. Then when she gets a roll in the school play she is in complete "ahh". She believes she is going to be the best thing that hit the stage. But when the day comes she freaks out and has stage frieght. However the teacher plays music and she pulls it off by dancing just like she has always done.

Personal: This book just popped out at me, I read it at work. It was like a perfect book for a little girl that thinks she is a princess and shows that even some people become nervous in important situations. After I read this book I brought it home to share with a few friends and family members because it was so cute!

Classroom extension:
1. I would use this book during a feelings theme week
2. I would let the girls use it if I was to have cute girl books and boy books for extra time
3. This could also be used in family theme because the family helps Celestine through her rough time of nervousness.

Celestine is about a little duckling who has been a star since she was born. When finally she has the chance to be on stage she forgets her lines so she finishes the play by dancing instead. In the end everyone still loves the play. This could be used to teach children that no matter what, if you try your hardest you will always be the best. ( )

This is the story of Celestine, a duckling who danced right out of her egg ready to be a star. She exhibits all of the normal "princess" type behaviors we find in young girls like her. She wears a tiara to school, because a star must set a good example. Also, she only eats pink food and tells the teacher that she can call her Princess Druscilla Drake. But when the class puts on a play, will Celestine prove to be star-worthy?

I love this book. I think it is perfect for little girly girls. The illustrations are absolutely adorable and everyone will fall in love with this little drama queen. ( )

For the younger sisters of FANCY NANCY, here's a tiny duck with a BIG personality -- and an even BIGGER case of stage fright!

From the day she danced out of her shell, Celestine knew she was born to be a star! She dresses herself carefully every day, prefers to eat only pink food, and insists on wearing a tiara at all times -- as all good stars should. The school play is the perfect chance to show the world just how special she is, and she has a secret role that not even her family knows about. But will a sudden case of stage fright keep her from making her grand debut? No matter how the play ends, she'll always be a star to her family.
