Albert the Absent-minded Alligator remembers that it's a special day -- but he can't remember why. His absentmindedness gets him into one predicament after another until, with some help from his AlphaPet friends, he finally discovers what makes this day special indeed.

This is a good example of a fantasy because animals are celebrating together and having a party, which is a human thing to do, but it is still relatable to children’s lives, in the celebration of birthdays and friendship.
The characters in this story are very unique. Each one is an animal that starts with a different letter and has a name that also starts with that letter. They also have a personality characteristic attached to that letter. Although this story is short, these characteristics were displayed frequently. For example, when Emmy the Exaggerating Elephant called him, she barely let him speak and described how immensely excited she was for the special day. ( )
