Uncommon Crochet
Twenty-five Projects Made from Natural Yarns and Alternative Fibers
by Julie Armstrong Holetz

This 162 page craft book on crochet was fun to review, and one of the things I liked most about it is that it was so imaginative with the materials used it really invited me to find stuff around the house that I could use too. The project photos are beautifully presented and the instructions are concise and easy to understand. I also thought having the lessons on how to crochet in pictorial fashion really helped to refresh my mind and will also help those just learning to pick up this creative and meditative hobby real fast.

Leather Grannie squares was one of my favorites and I also thought the crocheted faux sushi was a cute touch. I could feel the author's enthusiasm for this form of relaxation right from the second I opened the book and I relished in the different turns and twist this exciting how-to took. I would recommend this hot little number to anyone at any stage of their crocheting ability, I feel it is a divine place to unleash the crafter in us all. Thanks Julie, for the many hours of inspired peace.

Love & Light,

Riki Frahmann ( )
