Occupied America. The Warsaw Pact conquered us. Americans now live in isolated communes and travel is severely restricted. One guy decides to try to defeat the system and reach "Point Ultimate", a mythical sanctuary from this tyrannical system. On the way, he meets friends, foes and acquires tools to help out. Think a cross between Logan's Run and Red Dawn. It was a great read in the 80s, and I suspect it would be fun still, if a bit kitschy. ( )
