This is the 4th in the Women's Murder Club series. Good quick read and page-turner.

Back Cover Blurb:
In a late-night showdown, Lindsay has to make an instantaneous decision: in self-defence she fires her weapon - and sets off a chain of events that leaves a police force disgraced, a city divided and a family destroyed. Now everything she's worked for her entire life hinges on the decision of twelve jurors.
To escape the media circus, Lindsay retreats to the picturesque town of Half Moon Bay. Soon after, a string of grisly murders punches through the community. There are no witnesses: there is no pattern. But a key detail reminds Lindsay of an unsolved murder she worked on years ago. As summer comes into full swing, Lindsay and her friends in the Women's Murder Club battle for her life on two fronts: in court, and against a ruthless killer. ( )

I just wanted to complete it as fast as I could. The usual fast paced Patterson narrative with short, snappy chapters. It keeps you wanting to read just one more chapter before you turn the night light out and before you know it, it is 3.00 am and you have finished the book. A great read for that 5 or 6 hour journey or for just curling up in your armchair. ( )

James Patterson's novels take you to a wild ride, pumps up your adrenaline until you run out of breath. At least that's the same for me 'cause I lost some hours of sleep because of the need to finish this book. Very different from the first three, Lindsay as strong as ever, and the first time she solves the crimes by helping indirectly, and receiving help in return from unlikely people. The suspense never lets up, if it were a movie you would be on the edge of your seat the whole time. This is highly recommended if you just want to read a quality story with an impressive plot and strong characters. 5 stars as usual. ( )
