Book description
SHE'S NEVER AGREE TO MARRIAGE!
Ashley Sherwood, the tall, rugged owner of a California saloon, figured he could handle just about anything... until the terms of his grandfather's will forced him to travel to England to find a bride and he met the defiant blue gaze of the proper Miss Marianne Westleigh. Sharing the marriage bed with this creamy-skinned beauty would be no hardship, but the gorgeous creature gave him the cold shoulder. So, Ashley decided to seduce her... for he knew that once she felt the heat of desire that burned inside him, her chilly mask of ice would be melted forever, and she'd finally consent to be his California bride!

BUT HE WAS A MASTER OF PERSUASION...
In Marianne's view, California was nothing more than a collection of god-forsaken gold-mining towns whose inhabitants thrived on greed and depravity. And the arrogant Ashley Sherwood was no exception. In fact, he had the nerve to offer her a proposition of marriage just so that he could claim his inheritance! Marianne could not agree to a loveless marriage, and she would never consent to move to California! Yet, when Ashley's muscular arms held her and his brazen lips commanded hers to part, she wondered if her own body's burning need would soon have her granting this ardent rogue anything his heart desired!
