Loading... Persuasion (Romance) - Elementaryby Jane Austen
Review : The story about a love story with two people which they have problems and this story tell how they meet at the end Noora Shabban I liked the story it's about Elliot family and the head of family is Sir Walter Elliot and his known for his noble family and his good looks and it's been 13 yeas since he lost his wife Elizabeth and his favorite daughter was Elizabeth and because her father was in debt so to manage his debts, Sir Walter is convinced to move out of Kellynch-hall to town of Bath where he can spend less and keep his dignity. Salma GX it is a nice story but it was very long Khadija Abdalla This story was so simple. Anne loves Captain Wentworth, but she doesn't know that his thinking. But, not boring. Because words was beautiful. For example, the letter for Anne. I cannot write it, but you will enjoy. I stumbled across this little book the other day. How could I not buy one of my favourite Jane Austen books remade into an easy readers edition for 90 cents? So I bought it and read it the following day: it's an easy and fast read (40 pages and half of them are illustrations), but that's what the book is made for. Persuasion is my favourite by Jane Austen, together with Pride and Prejudice. I realised while reading this little book that the little twists and turns and the conversation and style are really what makes me love the books by Jane Austen. If the story gets retold in a summary kind of way, like it is in this book, it really loses a lot of its charm. That is why this edition dissapointed me: if penguin wants to make children or people who have English as their second language love reading, then I guess this book won't make them like Jane Austen. There are many more sophisticated childrens books out there that have a lot more substance and plot to them. I know that this is a way of getting to know the classics, but as I said before, all the loveliness of Austen's novels is lost when summarized in this manner. In this last book of Jane Austen, we once more have little action, but great development and contrast of character. In parlors, in dining rooms and in Inns, we listen to the conversations that display the workings of the mind and reveal the motivations and the morals of the inner man. A cash strapped, imprudent, vain squire has three daughters. Two of his daughters share his weak character, but the third, Anne, is quite sensible and loyal. The plot revolves around tangled courtships, villainy, poor judgement and the triumph of virtue, This book is a love and marriage story. One day, Anne and Wentworth fall in love each other. But, her father doesn't want her to be happy. So, she isn't allowed to marry him. Many years past, they meet again. And, they want marry!! Therefore, they try to pursuade her father... Anne is a quiet woman. She hasn't been interested in marriage since she refused a proposal. But one day she saw the man who had proposed to her. I like Anne because she is always thinking of other people.I could enjoy this book. This is a story of love and marriage.it is easy to read this story. But I could not sympathize with the heroine. Anne was a beautiful clever lady. And she hadn't been able to forget her special dear, Captain Wentworth for seven and a half years. One day,she heard of his visit to her town and the news shook her.then, they met again... It was romantic, sweet story.I liked it very much.I 'd like to enjoy an elegant world by this author again. |
