Has anyone read Three Cups of Tea? I just finished reading it, and enjoyed it. I'd like to hear other readers' opinions.

It took me forever to get through the first 20 pages of Three Cups of Tea, but once I got past them the reading became a little easier. Not exactly an easy read, but interesting enough (and not all bogged down like it started out).

... The Yacoubian Building I'm planning to get into The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien and then get my hands on Three Cups of Tea and Luminous Cities, both presently in-progress reads on a faraway nightstand!

... It's a compelling story about a Cuban-American family and their hidden Jewish heritage. My ER book, Luminous Cities and Three Cups of Tea lie partially read on a table--in a place I won't get back to until Thanksgiving. So, in the interim, Bee Season is next.

I finished Three Cups of Tea this morning. It was a very inspirational trip to Pakistan and Afghanistan. Now I've come back to the United States for The Year of Magical Thinking.
