"Loose Tooth," by Lola Schaefer, was a cute story about a little boy losing his first tooth. This story shows the excitement of the little boy having a loose tooth and the different things he's eating and the different advice he is getting from older siblings and his parents as far as pulling it out. This story would be cute for children to read, especially because a lot of kids are scared of having a loose tooth. Many kids are scared that losing the tooth is painful and a just a scary situation in general. This book could help kids over come this the fear and be more excited about it. ( )

This book may be very simple, but a kid loosing their tooth can identify with this book whole heartedly. Many times, I've had a kid that i know show me just how loose their tooth is. Kids always try t find ways for the tooth to come out earlier than when its actually ready to come out. This would be a good book for a student that has their first loose tooth. The repetition of "its loose" and "but it won't come out" is very cute and keeps the readers attention. ( )
