... the Watchmen movie... or did I just make that up? No, no, I think it's true.
Other good graphic novel adaptations... League of Extraordinary Gentlemen whilst quite different, wasn't too bad a movie, imo, (not the best thing ever, but passable)... although I have to say right here and ... Just finished The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol. 1 by Alan Moore. A very entertaining graphic novel with many famous literary characters scattered throughout. Looking forward to reading vol.2. Happy reading! I didn't recommend Tom Strong, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or 1963 because that was Alan Moore just having fun and I figured it wouldn't convince Cliff that comics can have literary value. ... other stuff - Albion left me cold, and I thought Ian Edginton and D'Israeli's Scarlet Traces was better than The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. ... to, and even warming up to, several of his characters. Like Evey in V for Vendetta, Mina Harker and Mr. Hyde in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and, wow, just about everybody in Watchmen

The second volume in Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's Victorian superhero drama, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, takes everything that made the first volume so enjoyable and made it better. Better villains, even more ingenious literary references ... Borrowed this from beserene, so it's not part of my library.

Basically I'm suggesting a toss up between Fun Home and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The author of Fun Home is a woman, so you can't complain that I haven't included an option for the female portion of this group to ... 31. Great fun for the lover of Victorian adventure fiction and graphic novels. I've read so many of the books referenced in this installment (most obviously Dracula, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Inv ... ... worth reading.
Moore, meanwhile, has continued to produce great work, like Top Ten, Lost Girls, Supreme and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, in spite of certain missteps. And Moore can create characters you care about and stories that cut to the bone like few other writers ... ... and Wonder Woman: Who is Wonder Woman? by Allan Heinberg.
Alex Ross is my favorite graphis novel artist. I loved The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but I didn't like the second book as much. I am hoping this new book is good. I missed the relaunch of the Wonder Woman comic books ... I want to get The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen by Alan Moore but also want Harry Potter 7... how can I choose?
