In this book Anna's story is told. The book explains the struggles of being deaf, but it also shows how she successfully goes through her life. It gives readers examples of her day at school, ballet class, and staying home. I also think this book is written in a way that would be easy for children to understand. ( )

Typical days of Anna's life are described, like her therapy, dance lessons, friendship, and family interaction.

The book would be useful in looking back at how and what people with hearing impairments learned around Anna's childhood years. ( )
