I get his reasoning for doing this book, but, first of all, it comes off more like name-dropping than anything else. Secondly, I have more fun reading the Sterns for this kind of thing. Thirdly, the book loses focus by covering so many different cooks. As a tool for the typical household cook, it's pretty useless. As a travelogue it isn't that well done. ( )
