5. Measuring the World by Daniel Kehlmann

I was a global warming skeptic of a kind myself at one point, due to having read The Skeptical Environmentalist. I've since realised that that book is very one sided (it makes some good points, but it also leaves out a lot of facts that would undermine ... kkirkoff:
Sounds like The Skeptical Environmentalist is more accessible than I thought. Good. I have it on my TBR shelf already, so I'll start going through it.
Thanks! ggchickapee:
I've read The Skeptical Environmentalist, and although it's a huge book, it's not really a tough read. Global Warming takes up a surprisingly small portion of the book. It's got lots of topics like famine, disease, toxins, pesticides, and pollution. If the library has it, check it ... ... of articles critical or questioning of global warming hysteria, but I wonder if there are any books anyone would recommend? The Skeptical Environmentalist is on my TBR shelf, but it looks dauntingly thick. I'll get to it one of these days.
