Just read (and enjoyed very much) City of Bones, and Wicked Lovely was also a good read if you liked Twilight. ... read non-fiction, I'll give some extra fictions :)

And anything and everything by Sarah Dessen I love series. Looks like you read mostly YA. Maximum Ride by James Patterson is on the 5th, I think. Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare has 3 and is about demon hunters. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr has 3 and is about fairies. And The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor is a twist on Ali ... City of Bones is on my tbr pile, I'm waiting for book 2 before I start, but there is quite a queue of requests for it at my library. I read somewhere that you'll want to dive straight into the next book...

The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. ... try the maximum ride series. The books aren't too long, however I think the series is on the 5th book right now. Or the mortal instruments trilogy are longer books same with the looking glass wars trilogy.

My book club meets next Tuesday and despite the fact that we are reading the Young Adult bestseller City of Bones and that I started it right after our last book club meeting (and was actually really enjoying it), I've put it aside and will be scrambling to finish it in ... ... Hollow Kingdom trilogy. There's also a lot of good urban fantasy out there: Wicked Lovely, Tithe, Wondrous Strange, City of Bones. . . .
Any of that sound interesting?

I've had a copy of City of Bones for ages but haven't got round to reading it yet, I really must as it sounds very good. I could not get into City of Bones by Cassandra Clare It just didnt hook me - so I moved on to Betrayed by P.C. Cast and read that in under a day - this is a really good series & this book is the 2nd one which I liked even better - had me crying.

Graceling by Kristin Kashore has a good central romance. So does the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, starting with City of Bones. ... enjoyed the hero's brother is this book which I didn't really care for him in his book. Ahh so good.
Now I started City of Bones by Cassandra Clare I don't know if its the book or just me & the heat but Im not getting into it as much as I would have hoped and I keep re-reading. Gue ... I'm working on City Of Bones,The Sight, and The Graveyard Book. All of them are are really good. I was reading Wizards First Rule on my Kindle but it needs to be charged! #80: I brought home City of Bones from the library today. I hope I like it as much as you have been enjoying the series. ... the movie better than the book.
I also read The Amaranth Enchantment, which was okay but not great.

I haven't read City of Bones yet, but it's definitely on the list... :) I'm almost finished City of Bones. It wasn't nearly as bad as it started off. I've read all of the books you spoke of in post #1, LJ. Smith's books being the ones I haven't read within the last two years so hers aren't fresh in mind. I would say that I ... ... just felt "meh" to me as it seems to just drop off. An interesting read but i'm glad i didn't buy the book myself.

Well since then i've finally finished The Girls which took me bloody long enough, and i've also read two other books City of Bones and The Demon's Lexicon so now i have 8 reviews outstanding plus i need to read a book that i got asked to read and review over in the "Go review that book!" ... >124 Will - I read the City of Bones over the weekend, it isn't the best book ever although i did like the humour aspects of it. I reckon it appeals more to the teenage girls of the twilight fandom for it's addictive qualities and it's rather handsome male protagonist *sigh*

I've also started City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (of the Very Secret Diaries fame) on recommendation from a friend. I'm not so hot on this one. It's reading like a sixteen year-old is ... Well a little while ago i finished City of Bones which was better that i'd expected although the ending did irk me somewhat (partly because i already knew what the twist was) because now i really want to read the other two books in the hopes that it will be proven to be false.
Not too sure what ... ... the ending felt a bit like it simply drifted off so it hasn't made my list of favourites for this year.

You've got a couple of books i've been meaning to read but have being avoiding - City of Bones and Rebel Angels. CoB should be a fairly quick read but Rebel angels is certainly a more weighty book. ... of the same book just costs about 7€. F***ing book price control).
