This is a sweet board book that is all about daddies and babies. The written portion is simple rhymes all about a daddy's love, but the majority of the book are photographs. They correlate to the text, but that is only the secondary purpose; their primary importance is to showcase cute babies with their daddies. The pictures are adorable, and the rhyme isn't great but it does avoid being sappy and forced, which is an important accomplishment in a child's book. Another DK book: well made, perfectly suited to its target audience, exploiting the format or genre they are publishing in to its fullest potential. One of our top picks for bed time stories for our newborn girl. ( )

Daddy loves me is a board book all about daddies and how they love their infants and toddlers. The rhyming text is accompanied by bright, full-color photographs of dads and children having fun together at home, at the seaside, at the playground, and in the bath. The wonderful photography of happy fathers and children is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, and captures the powerful bond between dads and their children.

The book is brief, with coated board pages and a padded, easy-to-clean vinyl cover, so it is a great first book for sharing with infants or very young children and a good gift for new fathers. Review by Book Dads ( )
