First off, the cover on this is exceptionally appealing, very colorful and gives a nice lead in to the first couple color pictures. Also, I love the two little mokona on the "CLAMP 20th Anniversary" icon down in the corner. For the most part this volume was a re-read for me as I had been following it online, but it was still interesting. I wasn't completely sure about all the food analogies, they seemed to place an awful lot of spiritual emphasis on the culinary creation front. I'm as baffled as Watanuki by the idea that someone would be so "sickened" by the thought of something that they made themselves that they could only ever eat food prepared by a third party. The Potato Nikkorogashi sounded really tasty when Watanuki was teaching the lady how to make it. I'm sure I wouldn't have been as sensitive to the lack of "emotion" cooked into it as Domeki was LOL!

Since I already know what is going to happen in the Tsubasa half of the cross-over I am quite curious to learn what will happen with Watanuki and company. I was also interested in Yuko's trip to the storage shed where Fai's tattoo and staff, along with Kurogane's sword and the CCS Sakura's staff all were on display. Her conversation with Maru and Moro was also strange as they seem to have been reduced to disembodied voices.

I'm looking forward to the last few volumes of this series to see where it all winds up. ( )
