"May Northcott is a woman at the end of her rope. She'd almost gotten used to her employer, the ex-demon lord Magoth, spending his days hanging around her home and interrupting her private moments with her lover, Gabriel. Then trouble appears on her doorstep in the form of a nearly dead man. With May fighting to control the dragon shard, Magoth wrangling to regain his position and powers, and a mysterious and deadly dragon bent on their destruction, Gabriel has his work cut out for him. Now he'll have to claw his way through all the distractions and convince May that their love is strong enough to conquer all of their enemies."--p. [4] of cover.… (more)

Mayling & Gabriel are fighting to save the Dragon Heart Shards & bring them together in order to reform the Dragon Heart.

Bastian is trying to destroy Mayling in order to steal the shard that once belonged to his Sept.

Aisling is giving birth any day now. Drake is as bossy & insufferable as ever.

Jim the demon is living with Mayling & Gabriel for the time being as is Magoth. Magoth's powers are stripped from him & given to Mayling. Magoth is playing hanky-panky with Drake's mother.

Drake's brother Kostya is still having a difficult time with his relationship to Cyrene, Mayling's twin.

Madcap action, smart, sassy, funny & sexy. This is a fast, easy & delightful read... ( )

This is the third book in the Silver Dragons series. First, of course I loved it, as I did the other two. This book had a lot more action, and a lot less firey dragonny mating. I remember one, but there might have been more. Anyhow, I believe this is the last in this installment of the series. The Dragons continue their next book with the Light Dragons and “Love in the time of Dragons”. However, I need to go backwards and read the Aisling Grey series.

It seemed like for a large part of this book May and Gabriel were apart, and when they were together there were a lot of other pressing matters to attend to. I really would love to see the whole book devoted to just those two, but I suppose that is a bit selfish of me. There was a lot of missing Gabriel, thinking about Gabriel… When they were finally together there was a dragon hunt scene that was fun and sexy and fresh.

All in all, I give this whole series a great rating. 5 stars if I was the starring type of girl ;) I wish there were more, but it looks like things were tied up nice and clean so I don’t imagine there are more. *sigh* ( )

I love all of Katie MacAlisters books, she gives me strong female heroines, romance that's more R than X, and lots of laughs! This is more of the 7th book in a "Dragon" series, the first 4 books being with Aisling & the Green Dragons, rather than the 3rd book in a separate series. ( )
