A Brave Vessel is very enjoyable. I've never thought of the founding of Jamestown and Shakespeare's plays as contemporary before. Looking (way) back, I think I was taught ... ... what you thought of it. I don't usually read "spooky books" but I'm trying some of them for Halloween month.

My thought was that it would be more interesting to see how Shakespeare dealt with it in the play, after getting the information about its basis. ... ... a couple of hours; I read it in two evenings and you know how slow I am!

It had been quite a while since I read the play so I wanted to refresh my memory before I started A Brave Vessel. If I hadn't already been familiar with the play I probably would have done it the other way around but I thought it would be distracting to try to remember The Tempest ... Re 301:
