I've enjoyed this series very much, and the lastest installment doesn't fail in delivering another action packed story. Imagine Buffy grown up, married twice, with two kids and you have your Kate Conner character. The series picks up with Kate having to manage her kids, 2nd husband Stuart's interest in demon-hunting and keep her first husband's soul unbound from a very evil demon. The action moves quickly and I wonder how the story will move as more and more non-hunters become involved in Kate's secret life. ( )

Kate is a busy woman. Demon hunter, mother of a teenager and a child in the terrible twos make a woman crazy. Add in a first husband back from the dead and sharing his body with a demon who wants to take over, a current husband who now knows her secret and wants to be trained to fight demons too, and planning a 15th birthday party for her daughter who is a demon hunter in training and you have a jam-packed book. Kate has to find some way to defeat the demon in her first husband without killing him. This was fun to read but the back jacket copy must have been talking about a different book. ( )
