There was a "Revised Edition" published in 1967. The "Traditional St. Augustine's Prayer Book" is a facsimile reprint of the original, 1947 edition. The Revised Edition includes some small, but significant changes, as hinted at in the note: "Advantage has been taken of several suggested alterations, as well as the developments of the liturgical movement in Christendom" ([ii] of the Revised Edition). The most probable reason for the sub-title change between the first edition and the present is that the present edition was published for the American Anglican Church, which broke away from the Episcopal Church of the United States of America (ECUSA) in 1977, chiefly over objections to prayer book revision (source: Handbook of denominations in the United States, 11th ed.). Aside from the sub-title, this 1998 printing is identical to the 1947 edition.
