Metzger and Ehrman provide priceless research and information in regards to the history and importance of Greek New Testament transmission. They provide very interesting insight into the formation of the text and how it varies between manuscripts. A must read for any New Testament Student. ( )This book is a good primer for anyone wanting to learn about the relative accuracy of the original Greek New Testament text. There's a lot crammed into its almost 300 pages. Even if you don't have much Greek, most of what is here is explained and translated. A standard text on Textual Criticism. New edition also edited by Bart Ehrman. Enjoyable and easily understood by laity. Not the Textual Commentary, this work is an explanation of how the Bible in our homes and studies came into our hands. Coupled with his *The Bible in Translation*, this is an excellent book on it's topic for those who need this knowledge. no reviews | add a review
