... I grabbed this dual volume. Now I only have to get 3 more Wolfe books to have them all--mostly in old used paperbacks. The Final Solution by Michael Chabon: I've wanted to try Chabon for quite a while and this was the 3rd and free book from a e for 2 table. A no risk chance to try a new ...

Have finished Olive Kitteridge, The Final Solution and am currently reading Buxton Spice. Will post on these when I am back from Australia and on my own comfy MAC:-)

I have been in Maine, USA with Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout and in the UK with Michael Chabon's The Final Solution. Now, I'm in Guyana with Buxton Spice y Oonya Kempadoo. I am also in Sydney, Australia with various maps and at least one tourist guide:-)

... over the years. Snakes and Earrings by Hitomi Kanehara. arc from my bookstore days. See past Asian lit binge/jag above. Final Solution by Michael Chabon. My husband requested it. Great Classic Stories - BBC audio (on the ipod). It's the best I could find on short notice at B&N.

... a paperback appears. Chabon's profile is much lower in the UK than the USA, although pastiching Sherlock Holmes in The Final Solution helped to raise it a little. I'm not sure UK editions of A Model World or The Mysteries of Pittsburgh have been available before now - my copies of ...

> 59 Also a Chabon fan, but I was tremendously disappointed with The Final Solution. It was so simplistic, it seemed like a rather high schoolish creative writing assignment (c'mon - as though we don't know what kind of numbers that stupid parrot is reciting). And there was no real resolution - ...

The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper The Final Solution by Michael Chabon Endgame by Samuel Beckett Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (How ironic -- there's no touchstone for the last one!)

Apparently this vacation was not the time to shlog through an epic novel. Thus, again instead, I bring you: 11. The Final Solution by Michael Chabon (127 p.) Set in England during WWII, the story centers around a young, mute Jewish boy and his African grey parrot and an 89-year old ...

Like principii, I've been avoiding Sherlock Holmes pastiches. The only one I've read is Michael Chabon's The Final Solution, just because I'm a massive Chabon fangirl. And he is fantastic at capturing a crotchety, 90-year-old Holmes exactly how I'd imagined he'd be. The plot's not really ...

I just finished Michael Chabon's The Final Solution : a story of detection in the countyside near London, and am booking passge to Antartica via France with The Ice People by René Barjavel.

I enjoyed The Final Solution: A Story of Detection by Michael Chabon, and it is a quick read, as well.

At my own local B&N, at least I stuck to sale books. I got: A Pound of Paper by John Baxter The Final Solution: a story of detection by Michael Chabon The Death of Ivan Ilych and Other Stories by Leo Tolstoy (partly for Hadji Murad, included) The Voyage Out by Virginia ...

... example, I love the slipcovers of the British Harry Potter hardbacks. In particular, the feel of them. I recently read The Final Solution and found that cover to be wonderful. It enhances the book... and this is why I find eBooks to be so disappointing. (I have purchased a few, over time, ...
