Read this one to my nephew and he and I both loved the story. He took the book to bed with him.

The story is a fun concept for kids and the illustrations fit the story to a T.

This book was about different dinosaur trucks and how they lived during prehistoric times. Each truck is a version of a dinosaur and each are different and like to do different things. In the end the lava explosion wipes out most of the dinotrux population but some get away and in the end you see their fossils on display and you see modern time trucks digging them up.

This is a 2nd to 4th grade book
Great for read aloud
The dinosaurs have truck characteristics and names, very cute.
The dinotrux cause havoc but in the end they create a playground for children

This book is so fun! I loved it! I thought it was super silly and awesome. The illustrations were catchy and had witty little comments that make it fun for the adult. There are little things in the book that children won't recognize which is fun because you can point them out and enjoy them together.

Chris Gall has a lot of fun with the primal place of machines in the lives of small children in his brilliant book “Dinotrux.” In ripe-to-the-point-of-bursting illustrations... Gall gives us the creation legend of the truck, our modern vehicles being descendants of the combustion-driven monsters that once roamed free.
