This was one of my favorites as a kid (which is why my six-yr-old now owns and giggles over it). Nancy's older sister is getting married, and as Nancy is 'naughty,' she gets into all sorts of trouble (climbing onto the cake table to have a taste before the reception begins, etc.).

The book is wordless, but the paintings are wonderfully expressive and funny. Each page includes a half-page, so the action changes as one flips the half-page from right to left.

A charming recommended book. ( )

Look -- a Nancy book that is me! Cute wordless book with great illustrations. Nancy is into mischief whenever possible and she finds every opportunity. This one will make everyone chuckle! ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0689823584, Hardcover)

Nancy was to be the flower girl in her sister's wedding -- a large church affair, with an elegant reception in the garden afterward. Nancy could hardly contain her excitement -- there were so many things with which to experiment. From riding up the aisle on her sister's long rain instead of holding it up to hiding in her sister's going-away trunk, she tried them all!

This tale of a funny, irrepressible, venturesome mouse who innocently causes one crisis after another -- by the artist who created Creepy Castle and Shrewbettinas Birthday -- will delight all beholders as it unfolds in lovely full color, without words and with half-pages that carry along a narrative full of delightful surprises.

Nancy, a venturesome small mouse, creates a series of crises at her sister's wedding and reception.
