It just gets worse for our intrepid band of zombie apocalypse survivors. And yet, I can't stop reading. ( ) Dale has never been my favorite character so I actually LOVE what happens to him in this novel. It's almost like, "You dumb fuck! You deserve it! This is great!" I always got the impression that he felt he was better than everyone else and knew better than everyone else and look what happened to you, you dumb fuck! Adrianne The struggle continues. I'm a bit surprised that this is the first of The Walking Dead comics to really deal with the issue of cannibalism. Most dystopian novels tend to dish that one out fairly early, but thus far our ragtag group of survivors have been able to find the food they need without resorting to that desperate low. Unluckily for them, another group didn't have such qualms about it all. The Walking Dead, for me, remains interesting due to how it justifies Rick's actions and the moral questions that arise. What do you do if there's a murderer in your midst at a time when there are so few living humans? What actions can you justify, what actions can't you? How sentient are the zombies, and what is the strange disease? condition? rendering them weaker than they've previously been? The series is on a roll and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Now on to the next one. no reviews | add a review
