Merideth says: This book is a guide to making funky decor projects from 'trash', and information on how glass, plastic, paper, wood, concrete and fabric are created and used. The whole thing has a very tounge in cheek vibe, and instructions are included on how to write a love note and how to break a glass ceiling.

As for the projects themselves, some of them are very cool (shoe box shoji screen), and some of them are just silly (water bottle lounge chair). The instructions are easy to follow, and lots of pictures show you what you can expect your finished project to look like. Very vew projects require special tools, so anyone interested in the repurposing movment would find a lot to like about this book. ( )

I could write a review of this book (which I enjoyed very much, BTW), but I think that this graphic novel-style review (http://www.overduemedia.com/archive.a...) by the creators of "Unshelved" (http://www.overduemedia.com) really says it all. And it not only advances my agenda of providing everyone with the opportunity of becoming a graphic novel reader, but it will also introduce you to one of the best-loved comic strips of the public library world. Enjoy!
