Beautiful photographs of gardens and garden plans, architectural drawings enhance and inspire along with the text that traces the history of gardens in England between 1880 and 1920. The massive scale of these gardens indicates a great deal about the privileged of Edwardian society nd their country lilfestyles. The book discusses the owners and creators of these gardens. The only way I think this book could be improved would be to have a section that illustrates the conventional elements of gardens int his period, sort of a phot glossary or even concise list somewhere.
