Conversations on Preaching, is a great quick read (just over 60 pages) on the skill and art of preaching. Editor Michael Duduit collected excerpts from past articles from, “Preaching,” magazine into a great collection of preaching knowledge. Topics include, “Why do we preach.” “Relational Preaching,” “Application in Preaching,” and “Preaching to a Secular Culture.” I really enjoyed how Duduit included multiple Preachers for each topic. Each Preacher shared a different perspective and different ways to live out the topic. Duduit also did a great job to include a variety of Preachers offering a variety of backgrounds, experience and styles. Just a few of the Preachers include, W. A. Criswell, Jack Graham, Tony Evans, Max Lucado, Bill Hybels, John Maxwell, and Fred Caddock.

Conversations on preaching is a great source for any Preacher looking for some new and quick inspiration and encouragement in the art of preaching. ( )
