A favourite book for use in the field. It has good illustrations and excellent keys. The only drawback is that because space is tight text and illustrations are not always on the same page spread, you need to look for the little arrows next to the text that warn you of this. It's an excellent book if you are taking up botany because you can progress from trying to find a likely picture of your plant to using the botanical descriptions and keys. 1600+ species described; Botany Study Day ( )

Serious botanists may tell you that nothing will do except Stace.
For the rest of us mere mortals, Rose is the best wild flower guide I've ever seen, beautifully illustrated, with a set of user friendly keys and a helpful glossary
If you do find a copy, grab it, is my advice. ( )
