An incredibly sad book about a 15 year old Montana boy whose father unsuccessfully, tries to kill himself. The book deals very realistically with the aftermath of a suicide attempt. Nate is convinced that building a cloud chamber and winning the science fair will help to make everything better, but a tragic twist reveals the flaw in his plan. ( )
