I read No Logo a few years ago and was impressed by it, so I guess SD is on the list for the 2008. But first I have to finish War and Peace Not the Matchbook Version. And Nightw ... ... by Naomi Klein, and I can't recommend it any higher than possible (for a starter course of her writings, check out No Logo).
I am more pissed off and upset than ever, and in the positive, world-altering mentality-way.
Books do make a difference. This is fun. Puzzling things in my tag mirror:
- someone has tagged No Logo by Naomi Klein with "dogs";
- three of my Terry Pratchett books have the tag "hardboiled", as does Crime and Punishment;
- Life of Pi is apparently a "how-to" book;
- The Red and the Black is "russian ... Nike found its test-tube subjects in two mid-level runners, Philip Boit and Henry Bitok.

Con Game ... get excited about it, buy it and then start reading, only to lose interest part way through. This has happened with: No Logo, Fast Food Nation, Planet Simpson, and 1968 just to name a few. ... which I saw plugged on the Daily Show a few years ago and just finally got around to reading.
I'm also reading No Logo: No Space, No Choice, No Jobs, but I haven't gotten very far into it. ... data beforehand if they wish.
The book has ISBN 9173248657 for source LIBRIS (Sweden). It's a Swedish translation of No Logo : Taking aim at the Brand Bullies. ... that. I love how Koontz incorporates Christian and other religious themes while still exploring the supernatural. I loved The Taking after getting through all the gore for the same reason. The hopeful theme was a real contrast to the scary story, which was so scary I almost quit the book! I keep hearing about No Logo, without knowing much else about it. what is it ? ... both very eccentric and seemed to be genuinely fond of each other.
Gorey did the cover for my ancient copy of Ibsen's Brand.
