I finally gave up on this book. I thought I could follow the thread, he's a popular author, but sometimes popularity catches up with skill and eclipses an author's skills. Plus, I'm tired of reading books that are part of a series, and unless you go years back you'll never understand the characters. What happened to stand-alone books?? ( )
