A dark book—one of the darkest (and best, I think) in the entire run of Sluggy. Pete manages to graft together story, art, and soundtrack in a way that approaches some of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series. (Pete is no Neil Gaiman, but he does show that influence and this time he got it right.) ( )
