However, I tend to think that the Bean series (beginning with Ender's Shadow) would be a more exciting and action-filled movie in comparison. I'm also looking forward to the anti-gravity special effects in the Battle Room scenes... I completely understand!
By the way, you don't have to read Ender's Shadow in series order - it won't ruin or spoil anything for you. It's told in parallel to Ender's Game but from the viewpoint of another boy at battle school. It's the only other Ender book I've read although my husband ... Do you plan on continuing in the Ender series? I really enjoyed Ender's Shadow. Orson Bean ... you liked best, I would recommend different directions into the series though.

A reread. And yes, MUCH better than Ender's Shadow. 44. Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card
Having read Ender's Game, I was curious about the story of Bean. In the Introduction, Card said he wanted to write an independent story about the same events, a story even someone who had not read Ender's Game would enjoy. He did not succeed.
