Which book did you read and not like much? Was in a Circle of Magic book? Because those aren't as good as her Tortall based books. Well I hope you like Wild Magic.
I don't know how old you are but just keep in mind that ... ... Pierce is a fantasy author who has written several books -- the Song of the Lioness quartet, the Circle of Magic books, and many others. They generally feature strong female protagonists who have adventures in fantasy worlds.

I do enjoy her books immensely, and have been considering getting her books set in that other fantasy land. They begin with Sandry's Book, I believe? I probably won't get them, though. They just don't sound as interesting.
