This book is a very good fantasy novel that really gets you into the story. The sequence of events and the general story is really good and I enjoyed reading it. ( )

This book is by the fabulous author Emily Rodda, and was copyrighted in 1994. It was the first publiished in 1994 too. This book is about rowan and his friends having some good and bad news. The good news was the travellers were coming, and the bad news was that one of rowan's friends Zeel was very ill.
When I thought about the book, i was overwhelmed, excited about what was going to happen next.

Rowan is warned that an old enemy of the people of Rin will surface, and the long-time allies of the people of Rin, the Travelers, are blamed when things go wrong. Things do not seem to be as simple as they appeared, however, and the travelers prove that they are not to blame. Rowan has to face the Pit of Unrin to discover the secret to the city of gold and save his people. ( )
