Before reading this book read "When Speechwriters Kiss and Tell" by William McGurn in the WSJ. McGurn was responsible for getting Matt Latimer his job as a speech writer for George W. Bush. This book is poorly written and doesn't deliver on its promise. Latimer's gushing portrayal of Donald Rumsfeld leaves out the fact that he is currently working on Rumsfeld's memoirs.
I couldn't finish the book - it's that bad! Do yourself a favor and skip this one - it's not worth the time or the effort. ( )
