I love it how it was Shay and Syn's son... took me a sec to realize it. But loved the concept of it being so many years later than the last book, instead of the typical ok this one of this set of people is going to be next to find their love and happiness. Instead its the son of said people. But the minute I picked up and settled down to read it I was hooked I couldn't put it down until I was done and though I was sick, and had a fever I remained awake and alert throughout the entire story. I Love Sherrilyn Kenyon she is one of my favorite authors, and I can't wait to read more of her work. Listened to audio narrated well by Fred Berman. First thing, if you are reading this series per the order posted on the author's website you will find this is actually about the son of Sheridan and Shahara (2nd generation), the author's website appears to be in publication order not timeline order. If you really want to read this series in order don't read this book yet. As per usual the League and many others are after Devyn and he's hotshot pilot, badass. Alix is blackmailed into either finding or planting evidence that will convict Devyn. Alix has never been treated well and is shocked that Devyn isn't who she expected him to be and wishes she could find a way to save her family without endangering Devyn. no reviews | add a review
